we went down to birmingham for this.there was nothing left of the floor or chassis but after alot of welding its starting to look like an escort again.

OMG that was bloody rotten :shock:i have a link on another forum for a guy that only deals in Escorts and brings them in back from abroad....i must look it out... must of them still need lots of work but there complete,

I would need something that has a good basis to start from but good on you and friend for taking a job like that on Cool you have respect Smile

My Mk2 was the same colour as yours was originally,that nasty 1970's Beige..... pale

Unfortunately mine was a 1.3L 4 door and no matter how hard I tried it was never going to look any good.I chopped the middle part of the front bumper out to make '1/4 bumpers',put Cosmic alloy wheels on it and chopped the rear silencer off of it,but it still looked (and drove) like a shed.It was 'a few' years ago though..... Very Happy
